The Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs held the AI Talent Cultivation Achievement Presentation on November 19, where Ming Chuan University was recognized for its outstanding performance in promoting the iPAS Industry Professional Assessment and Certification system. MCU was awarded the title of Model School for AI Talent Development. Academic Vice President Hsi-Hui Ho attended the ceremony to receive the award and share MCU’s practical experiences in AI talent cultivation.

Vice President Ho noted that in recent years the university has simultaneously advanced cross-disciplinary training for both “AI Application Planners” and “Net-Zero Carbon Planning Managers.” By collaborating with industry partners and adjusting course content, the university helps students accumulate essential career competencies while still in school. According to statistics from the Office of Sustainability, since the launch of the “Net-Zero Carbon Planning Manager” program in 2024, a total of 248 faculty members and students have completed the training, with a certification pass rate exceeding 50 percent—demonstrating strong engagement in developing key professional skills.

Deputy Director Min-Juei Chu of the Office of Sustainability, who also attended the event, emphasized that by implementing the iPAS competency certification system, MCU is gradually establishing a positive talent cultivation cycle aligned with industry needs. More than 4,500 companies have committed to giving hiring preference to individuals with iPAS certification, providing MCU students with a significant edge in career preparation.

Ming Chuan University continues to promote its dual-track transformation toward intelligence and sustainability. Through cross-disciplinary competency development and certification mechanisms, the university supports faculty and students in keeping pace with industry trends and strengthening their competitiveness in career development.
