The “2026 National College Digital Audit Case Competition and Symposium,” widely regarded as the premier gathering for the digital auditing community, was held on May 8th at Ming Chuan University\u2019s Taipei campus. This year\u2019s event focused on the theme “Strengthening ESG Digital Supervision and Report Assurance through Data Analytics,” drawing top talent from universities across Taiwan to tackle critical issues in AI, ESG, digital auditing, and sustainability disclosure. The goal is to leverage data to ensure transparency in the AI era and decode the complexities within corporate sustainability reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cultivating Cross-Disciplinary Talent<\/span>
\nIn his opening address, Ming Chuan University President Lee Hsuan-Shih noted that in the face of rising AI and sustainability trends, future professionals must move beyond traditional finance and management. They need to develop integrated skills in data science, technological application, and sustainable governance. He reaffirmed that the university will continue to strengthen industry-academia partnerships to nurture these future leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expert Insights: ESG Investing and AI Integration<\/span>
\nThe symposium featured keynote presentations from industry experts:<\/span><\/p>\n

Chang Ting-Wei, Vice President of Sustainable Investing at Fidelity International, analyzed the weight of ESG data in investment decisions, highlighting that ESG disclosure is now a critical gateway for market entry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Su Yi-Chen, Chief Sustainability Officer of i-Sustainability, demonstrated how AI tools assist in ESG report preparation. She specifically discussed the role of Vision-Language Models (VLM) in enhancing the efficiency and governance of ESG data reporting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The forum was moderated by Lu Yang-Cheng, Director of the Office of Sustainable Development, who led a panel of industry and academic representatives in discussing ESG report assurance, data reliability, AI governance, and digital finance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case Competition Results: Merging Logic and Creativity<\/span>
\nAlongside the symposium, the “National College Digital Audit Case Competition” challenged students on their practical skills in data analytics and ESG governance.
